A larger, double-sided cast iron griddle-skillet — fry on one side, sear grill marks on the other. One solid piece of iron doing two jobs, with no coating to eventually fail on either surface.

Bigger investment than the compact skillet, same lifespan math: cared for, it doesn't have one.
